Chris Wallace was honored with the 2,820th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, September 18th at 11:30 am PT at 6253 Hollywood Boulevard. Wallace received his star in the category of Television.   Joining emcee Steve Nissen were Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jay Leno.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce administers the legendary Walk of Fame for the City of Los Angeles and has proudly hosted the globally iconic star ceremonies for decades. Millions of people from here and around the world have visited this cultural landmark since 1960.

ABOUT OUR HONOREE

“The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome Chris Wallace to the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” stated Ana Martinez, Walk of Fame producer. “The legacy continues to shine brightly as his star is unveiled right next to the star of his father Mike Wallace, a true testament to their unmatched contributions to the news and entertainment industry,” added Martinez.

Chris Wallace is one of the nation’s most accomplished journalists, with an unparalleled and award-winning track record across broadcast television, cable television, streaming, print, and independent content creation. Over the course of his career, he has reported on national and international affairs at the highest level, giving him a deep understanding of politics and global relations, as well as a broad network of relationships in Washington and world capitals. In a Morning Consult poll in May 2024, Wallace was one of the most trusted anchors in broadcast journalism. During his career, Wallace has served as an anchor on NBC, ABC, Fox News, and CNN. His work has won every major broadcast news award, including three Emmy Awards, the Dupont-Columbia Silver Baton, the Peabody Award, the Polk Award, and the Paul White Award for Lifetime Achievement.

These decades of experience have given Wallace a celebrated ability to “see around corners,” recognize patterns, spot trends, and identify outcomes before they happen. During the 2024 Presidential campaign, Wallace’s analysis and insights made headlines in coverage of the Biden-Trump debate, the Harris-Trump debate, and his commentary after the first exit polls were released on Election Night that it “would take a miracle for Harris to win” before any of the polls closed across the country.

Most recently, Wallace spent three years at CNN as the anchor of the weekly political program The Chris Wallace Show, as well as host of the interview show Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?—where his guests ranged from retired Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, to Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, to movie stars George Clooney and Harrison Ford and music virtuoso Jon Batiste. He was also a top analyst for CNN’s coverage of the U.S. presidential debates and election.

Prior to CNN, Wallace worked at Fox News for 18 years and hosted Fox News Sunday. He is the first and only Fox anchor ever to moderate a general election Presidential debate, both in 2016 and again in 2020. Through it all, Wallace applied his unbiased and probing approach to interviews, sitting down with every Democratic and Republican president since Ronald Reagan, world leaders including Vladimir Putin and Emmanuel Macron, and leading his team on groundbreaking, award-winning investigations.

While at Fox News, Wallace secured the channel’s first interview with President Barack Obama in February 2009 and went on to interview the former president more than anyone at the network.

Prior to that, he worked for 14 years as Chief Correspondent for ABC’s Primetime, as well as chief substitute anchor for Ted Koppel on Nightline. During the first Gulf War, he reported for ABC from Tel Aviv when it came under Iraqi missile attack. From 1978 to 1989, he worked for NBC in key posts, including 6 years as Chief White House Correspondent during the presidency of Ronald Reagan. He also anchored Meet the Press, making him the only person to host two Sunday morning news programs.

Wallace has written three books in his Countdown series—Countdown 1945 on the decision to drop the atomic bomb on Hiroshima; Countdown bin Laden on the hunt to bring the mastermind of the 9/11 terror attack to justice; and Countdown 1960 on the Kennedy-Nixon election and how it changed presidential politics. All 3 books were New York Times bestsellers.

The son of legendary broadcast journalist Mike Wallace, Wallace decided to become a reporter after working while still in high school as an intern for Walter Cronkite during the 1964 Republican convention. After graduating with honors from Harvard College, Wallace landed his first job at The Boston Globe, where he worked his way from covering City Hall to serving as the paper’s National Reporter.

Wallace was an unofficial adviser to the Commission on Presidential Debates from 2020 to 2024. He is also an adviser to the Wallace House Center for Journalists at the University of Michigan.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce administers the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame for the City of Los Angeles and has proudly hosted the globally iconic star ceremonies for decades. Millions of people from here and worldwide have visited this cultural landmark since 1960.

ABOUT OUR HONOREE

“The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will be adding Busta Rhymes, one of Hip-Hop’s most enduring and electrifying voices, as a new member of Hollywood’s iconic sidewalk“ stated Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. ”His talent and influence are undeniable. His star on the Walk of Fame will stand as a testament to his lasting impact on hip-hop music and how important it is to the American culture,” added Martinez.

Trailblazer Busta Rhymes has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide, earned 12 GRAMMY® nominations, and landed seven Top 10 debuts on the Billboard 200. His catalog boasts over 60 million records certified gold and platinum, a testament to his lasting global impact. Time and again, he’s proven that he’s not just an artist – he’s a force of nature.

From humble beginnings in Brooklyn and Long Island, Busta launched his career as a founding member of the influential culture-shifting collective Leaders of the New School. He burst onto the national scene with a distinctive vocal style, kinetic stage presence, and visually groundbreaking music videos that helped redefine the genre.

Busta’s solo rise began with his game-changing 1996 debut, The Coming, but it was his sophomore album, When Disaster Strikes…, that Pitchfork famously called “the turning point” of his career. From there, he delivered hit after hit – classics like “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See,” “Break Ya Neck,” and “Touch It” – cementing his status as one of hip-hop’s most versatile MCs and electrifying performers. BET Jams even crowned “Put Your Hands…” the Greatest Hip-Hop Video of All Time, while MTV hailed him as “one of hip-hop’s greatest visual artists.”

Revered by peers across generations, Jay-Z and KRS-One have both called him “the greatest performer of all time,” while Phife Dawg dubbed him “the James Brown of hip-hop.” Busta has collaborated with a staggering list of legends and icons, including Dr. Dre, Janet Jackson, Eminem, Missy Elliott, Snoop Dogg, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, and even Ozzy Osbourne and Dave Chappelle.

In 2022, Busta was honored with the prestigious BMI Icon Award, celebrating his unparalleled influence as a songwriter, artist, and cultural innovator. And he made history in the early 2000s with a Guinness World Record for the most words in a hit single -“Break Ya Neck” – a testament to his lightning-fast lyrical delivery and technical mastery.

Beyond music, Busta has made memorable appearances in film and television, with standout roles in Higher Learning, Finding Forrester, Narc, and Shaft, as well as voice work in animated favorites like The Rugrats Movie. His music continues to impact the big screen: he’s featured on “Taking Everything,” the explosive opening track for the film Bad Guys 2, further cementing his place as a cross-platform cultural force. On August 1, he returns to theaters in Paramount’s highly anticipated reboot of The Naked Gun, starring alongside Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson, and Cody Rhodes—coinciding with his Hollywood Walk of Fame Star ceremony.

Never one to slow down, Busta continues to innovate. His 2023 full-length album Blockbusta, executive produced by Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, and Busta himself was both a critical and commercial success.

In 2024, he launched the Dragon Season EP series with The Awakening and Equinox, both receiving acclaim from fans and tastemakers alike. Now, as he prepares for the release of his next full-length album – Vengeance – executive produced by Busta under The Conglomerate Entertainment. The much-anticipated music project promises to continue his legacy of sonic evolution and lyrical domination.

In recent years, accolades have continued to pour in: Busta received the BET Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023 and the Global Icon Award at the 2024 MTV EMAs. He hit the road in 2022 as a special guest on the N.Y. State of Mind Tour, a co-headlining run featuring Wu‑Tang Clan and Nas. In 2023, he joined 50 Cent on the massively successful Final Lap world tour, performing for sold-out crowds around the globe. In 2024, he reunited with longtime collaborators Missy Elliott, Ciara, and Timbaland as a special guest on the groundbreaking Out of This World arena tour.

In 2025, he kept the momentum alive with show-stopping performances at The Glastonbury and Rock The Bells Festivals.

Outside of entertainment, Busta’s passion for giving back is just as impactful. He serves as a Global Citizens Ambassador, St. Jude Children’s Hospital Ambassador, and the first-ever MusiCares Hip-Hop Ambassador for their Humans of Hip Hop initiative.

As Busta Rhymes receives his Hollywood Walk of Fame star, he gears up for the release of Vengeance, and hits the big screen once again, one thing remains certain:

The blessings don’t stop—so he won’t stop.

Los Bukis was formed by cousins Marco Antonio and Joel Solís as children, initially struggling for two years before being signed by Discos Melody in 1973. The name “Los Bukis” means “children” in the Yaqui language.

Starting as a duo, they evolved into a full band with the addition of Marco Ibarra on drums, Arturo Martínez on bass, and Alfonso Bugarini on keyboards. The lineup continued to grow with Eusebio “Chivo” Cortés on bass (1978), Roberto Guadarrama on keyboards (1979), Javier Solís on percussion (1980), Pedro Sánchez on drums (1981), and José Guadarrama on second keyboards (1987). Led by Marco Antonio Solís’s songwriting and distinctive voice, Los Bukis became pioneers of the romantic ballad in Spanish-language music.

Their breakthrough came in 1976 with the success of “Falso Amor,” marking the beginning of their professional career. The 1980s saw Los Bukis transform from an opening act to a major phenomenon, headlining massive concerts and dominating radio. Their 1986 hit “Tu Cárcel” reached unprecedented heights, earning them Mexico’s first Diamond Record and three Grammy nominations.

At the 1989 Premio Lo Nuestro awards, Los Bukis swept multiple categories including Group of the Year and Album of the Year. Their popularity led to stadium-sized venues, including a custom-built “Salón Río Nilo” for over 100,000 fans.

After a 25-year hiatus, Los Bukis reunited in 2021 during the pandemic with Marco Antonio, Joel, Roberto, Eusebio, Javier, Pedro, and Pepe. Their comeback included making history as the first Latin artists to headline a stadium tour, “Una Historia Cantada,” beginning with sold-out shows at SoFi Stadium and culminating at Mexico’s iconic Estadio Azteca. They also completed the first all-Spanish residency in Las Vegas with 14 successful dates.

One of the band’s missions is to donate to charitable organizations local to their native city in Michoacan, Mexico, with the purpose of supporting vulnerable communities.

ABOUT OUR HONOREES

“The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is honored to welcome the iconic band WAR to the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” stated Ana Martinez, Walk of Fame producer.

The group is being honored for their significant contributions to the music industry and their enduring Impact on fans around the world. We are also excited to add an exciting touch to the ceremony. The group will arrive in low riders provided by car clubs, Imperial Car Club, Groupe ELA, Spirit Car Club, and Southern Life Car Club,” added Martinez.

WAR’s signature fusion of funk, soul, jazz, Latin, rock and street music is what first propelled them to prominence 55 years ago, but it was their ability to craft songs of social consciousness that further cemented their place in the modern American songbook. The immediate global impact of Why Can’t We Be Friends? was so profound that NASA transmitted the title track into space during the historic Apollo-Soyuz mission in 1975. Since then, WAR have continued to sing out against racism, hunger, crime and conflict, while their music has been sampled by Janet Jackson, Tupac, the Beastie Boys, Method Man, Sublime, Redman, Cypress Hill, Shaggy, A$AP Mob, Scarface, the Geto Boys, De La Soul, Flo Rida, Liam Payne, Thomas Rhett, and more, and covered by everyone from Willie Nelson to The Muppets, George Clinton, Phish, ZZ Top and The Isley Brothers.

With more than 50 million albums sold, 20 gold, platinum and multi-platinum records, three Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominations, a GRAMMY Hall of Fame entry, four #1 LPs, nine Top 10s, and twenty Top 40 songs, WAR didn’t just define the sound of the 1970s, they became a lasting voice for creative collaboration and social change, with a mission of love and harmony that resonates now more than ever. From the prophetic message of “Why Can’t We Be Friends?” to the timeless groove of “Low Rider,” the Why Can’t We Be Friends? (50th Anniversary Collector’s Edition) captures WAR at their most innovative and socially impactful. More than just a musical milestone, this collection reaffirms the album’s relevance—both as a reflection of the polarizing era that inspired it, and as a beacon of hope for our present and future. WAR’S other hits include:  Spill the Wine, The World Is a Ghetto, The Cisco Kid   Low Rider and Summer.

As WAR enters its sixth decade, their influence remains undeniable. Recent honors, including their debut in the 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, further cement WAR’s status as musical and cultural giants. Meanwhile, WAR will hit the road for dozens of tour dates across the US and abroad, including a hometown headline performance at the LA County Fair and many more you can find at https://war.com/tour.

WAR has worked with PETA, Venice Family Clinic, Toys for Tots, and St. Jude.
