Sarah Silverman With Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce honored comedian Sarah Silverman with the 2,649th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on today, November 9th, at 11:30 a.m. PST. The star was dedicated in the category of Television at 6600 Hollywood Boulevard in front of the Hollywood Toy & Costume Shop.
“Sarah Silverman is one of the funniest comedians of modern times. She tells it like it is and never holds back. We are proud to have this witty multi-talented woman on our historic Walk of Fame representing female comedians past and future,” stated Ana Martinez, Producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies. “We placed her star next to the star of Mister Rogers who she has stated is an inspiration to her.” Added Martinez
Helping Emcee Leron Gubler, President & CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce unveil the star were John C. Reilly and Jimmy Kimmel.

The weekly half-hour topical show portrays Silverman looking to connect with people who may not agree with her personal opinions through honesty, humor, genuine interest, not taking herself too seriously. Additionally, she will return as the voice ofVanellopein the highly-anticipatedRalph Breaks The Internet, set for release on November 21st. This marked Comedy Central’s first ever Emmy® nomination in a scripted acting category. Silverman also received a Writers Guild Award nomination for her work on the show.
