Actress and producer Ellen Pompeo will be honored with the 2,809th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, April 29, at 11:30 am PT at 6533 Hollywood Boulevard. Pompeo will receive her star in the category of Television. Joining emcee Steve Nissen will be Shonda Rhimes and Debbie Allen.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce administers the legendary Walk of Fame for the City of Los Angeles and has proudly hosted the globally iconic star ceremonies for decades. Millions of people from here and around the world have visited this cultural landmark since 1960.

Award winning actress and producer Ellen Pompeo is best known for her role as Meredith Grey on the hit ABC series
Grey’s Anatomy. She also serves as an Executive Producer for the show, which is currently on its 21st season and has recently been picked up for a 22
nd season. For her work on the show, Pompeo received a Golden Globe nomination for “Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama” at the 2007 Golden Globe Awards and was awarded the 2007 Screen Actors Guild Award for “Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Television Drama”.
Along with executive producing
Grey's Anatomy, Pompeo also served as a Co-Executive Producer of the
Grey's spinoff
Station 19. Pompeo launched her own production company, Calamity Jane Entertainment, in 2011. Through Calamity Jane, Pompeo most recently executive produced and starred in the Hulu limited series
Good American Family, which premiered in March 2025 and airs its season finale on April 30th.
Pompeo is involved with Charity Baby2Baby and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
