Actor/Director Ralph Macchio will be honored with the 2,795th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday, November 20, at 11:30 am PT at 6633 Hollywood Boulevard. Ralph will receive his star in the category of Television. Joining emcee Steve Nissen will be actors Tamlyn Tomita and William Zabka.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce administers the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame for the City of Los Angeles and has proudly hosted the globally iconic star ceremonies for decades. Millions of people from here and around the world have visited this cultural landmark since 1960.

It is a beautiful tribute to their legacy together and a testament to Ralph’s remarkable career that has inspired generations,” stated Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremonies.

With an extensive list of credits, acclaimed actor, director, producer, and New York Times bestselling author Ralph Macchio is best known for his celebrated performance as the character Johnny in Frances Ford Coppola’s The Outsiders; the hit film My Cousin Vinny; and most notably, for the title role in Sony Pictures’ The Karate Kid, and its successors The Karate Kid Part II and The Karate Kid Part III.

Macchio reprised his iconic role of Daniel LaRusso in the critically acclaimed series Cobra Kai for Sony Pictures Television. The show has become a global smash hit for Netflix, with the sixth and final season’s first part released in July 2024. The second part will be released in November, with the series grand finale concluding in 2025. In addition to his starring role, Macchio serves as an Executive Producer for the six-time Emmy nominated series, as well as a director in its final season.

Macchio is teaming up with Jackie Chan to reprise their popular characters for the latest film installment of the iconic Karate Kid franchise, Karate Kid: Legends, starring Ben Wang in the titular role. Sony Pictures is releasing the film in theaters in May of 2025.

Macchio recently played Officer Haddix in HBO’s acclaimed series The Deuce. He was featured in the film Hitchcock opposite Sir Anthony Hopkins and starred in the character-driven comedy Lost Cat Corona. Previous feature film highlights include Walter Hill’s Crossroads, Distant Thunder, Naked in New York, Teachers with Nick Nolte, A Good Night to Die, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Undead, Forever Together (Can’t Be Heaven), Beer League, He’s Way More Famous Than You, A Little Game, and both Too Much Sun and Up the Academy with Robert Downey Jr.

Macchio’s start in television came as a series regular on the final season of ABC’S Eight Is Enough, back in 1980. Other television credits include Psych, Ugly Betty, and Happily Divorced, as well as a popular turn on the hit series Entourage and the comedy Head Case.

In 2011, Macchio became an instant fan-favorite on Dancing with the Stars, where he enjoyed a long successful run on the ABC blockbuster competition show. His smash hit Funny or Die video, entitled Wax On, F*ck Off, has been a viral sensation since its release, gathering rave reviews from critics and viewers alike. As a filmmaker, his debut comedy short film Love Thy Brother premiered at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival. He followed that with the dramatic short Across Grace Alley for Netflix.

On the New York stage, Macchio made his Broadway debut starring opposite Robert DeNiro in the sold-out production of Cuba and his Teddy Bear at the Longacre Theatre.

He received critical acclaim, starring in the National Tour of the Broadway musical-comedy revival, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, which had its Los Angeles run at the famous Pantages Theatre.

His recent memoir, Waxing On, was an instant New York Times Bestseller.

Macchio is involved with the following charities: Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund, Lustgarten Foundation: Pancreatic Research and Palliative Medicine Department at Mather Hospital Northwell Health.
