The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce honored entertainer Michael Bublé with the 2,650th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today, Friday, November 16, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. PST. The star was dedicated in the category of Recording at 6270 Hollywood Boulevard in front of the W Hollywood Hotel.

“Michael Buble’s velvety smooth renditions of the timeless classics from the Great American Songbook continue to shower us with love and lead us down memory lane,” said Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “He effortlessly merges the music of the past with the present, and we welcome his bright star to shine forever on our Hollywood Walk of Fame.”

Helping Emcee Leron Gubler, President & CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to unveil the star were Walk of Famer David Foster, Priscilla Presley and Tom Corson, co-Chairman & COO, Warner Bros. Records.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce which administers the popular star ceremonies encourages people who are unable to attend and fans around the world to watch the event exclusively on www.walkoffame.com.

Born on September 9, 1975, in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, Bublé is a classic jazz and soul singer who cites Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald as his major influences. His beautiful voice and talent as one of the world’s great entertainers has grown substantially in the last decade. Beginning with a passion for singing and interpreting great standards from the American songbook nurtured by his grandfather, Bublé’s unprecedented musical course began with the release of his self-titled top ten album and a Canadian Juno Award for “best new artist.” Bublé’s sophomore album “It’s Time,” released in 2005, would be the game changer. Containing his first breakthrough single, “Home”, the CD reached No. 1 in several countries and spent 104 weeks on Billboard’s Top Jazz charts including 78 weeks in the No. 1 spot. In 2006, Bublé cleaned up with four Juno awards and received two Grammy nominations.

For the following two years, the Bublé would circle the globe eight times, visiting and performing in 40 countries. Bublé’s road to success continued in 2007 with the release of “Call Me Irresponsible.” The disc debuted at No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard Top 200 charts and quickly took the top spot the following week. It reached No. 1 in seven countries and brought Bublé his first Grammy for best traditional pop vocal album and sold over five million copies worldwide.

Eight years later, Bublé released his forth CD “Crazy Love” in 2009 which debuted at No. 2, and once again jumped to No. 1 the second week in the U.S. as well as Canada and Australia. It would become   Bublé’s fastest selling album. In 2011, his studio album “Christmas” rose to the top of the charts in over 20 countries and sold over seven million albums earning a Juno for Album of the Year. His success as an international artist reached unprecedented levels of stardom around the globe.   Some of his most popular songs include such hits as Lost, Hollywood, Close Your Eyes, Everything, Home, Haven’t Met You Yet and many more.

In 2016, Bublé released his ninth studio album “Nobody But Me” on Warner Bros./Reprise Records which follows up his No. 1 “To Be Loved” album released three earlier in 2013. The multi-Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum artist’s album was also co-produced by Bublé. The music includes breathtaking reinventions of classics including “My Baby Just Cares For Me”, “The Very Thought of You”, Brian Wilson’s “God Only Knows” and the Johnny Mercer classic “I Wanna Be Around” with guest artists including Meghan Trainor and Black Thought (of the Roots). Recently,   Bublé performed at London’s 02 Arena in September and in Sydney, Australia’s Allianz Stadium this past October.

Bublé is officially back with the release of his new album (pronounced “love”)out November 16th on Reprise Records. was produced by David Foster, longtime collaborator Jochem van der Saag and Michael Bublé. The trio brought Bublé’s cinematic visions of this new collection of songs to life with luscious arrangements surrounding Bublé’s outstanding vocals.

Bubléhas sold over 60-million records worldwide, performed hundreds of sold-out shows and won four Grammys and multiple Juno Awards during the course of his extraordinary career.

Bublé is a philanthropist and is dedicated to giving back to the community. In April this year, he performed   at Keep Memory Alive’s 22nd Annual Power Of Love® Gala to help raise funds and awareness for Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health.  In 2014, he celebrated his success of his To Be Loved Tour with a donation to Nordoff Robins Foundation, which provides music therapy people across the UK.  He has donated to/and worked with: Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) British Columbia Children’s Hospital (BCCH), BC Women’s Hospital, Burnaby Hospital Foundation, The Obakki Foundation, NW Orphans Fund, Fullfilment Fund LA, Fishing for Kids, MusiCares, Canucks Charity Game, numerous cancer agencies and many other worthwhile organizations and charities.
