The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce promotes Hollywood as a world‐famous destination. We have recently marked the 60th Anniversary of Hollywood Walk of Fame with a year‐long celebration and have so far honored more than 2,500 celebrities with stars. Accepting a star is a coveted honor and a tribute to all of those who worked so hard to develop the concept and to maintain this world‐class tourist attraction. By accepting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame or speaking at a star ceremony, you are requested to sign this Authorization which allows the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to use your name and likeness in connection with your public appearance at the Walk of Fame Ceremony to help promote this world‐famous icon in our marketing efforts beyond normal news reporting.
Please Help Us Promote the Hollywood Walk of Fame by confirming the following:
As a member of the Hollywood Walk of Fame (or as a speaker at another celebrity’s Walk of Fame induction ceremony), I hereby grant the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce the non‐exclusive perpetual right to copy, exhibit, publish, distribute and/or use my name and any official still camera photograph and/or videotape/film/audio recording of me made at my Walk of Fame public induction ceremony (or the Walk of Fame public induction ceremony at which I appeared and/or spoke) including, but not limited to Chamber print publications and digital communications, the Chamber website, the Hollywood Walk of Fame website, official Chamber social media accounts; and media developed by the Hollywood Chamber for the purpose of promoting and supporting the Hollywood Walk of Fame incidental to the Chamber’s reporting on the event itself; and for producing and selling photographic prints and products bearing photographs of the Walk of Fame Ceremony to raise funds to support the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Foundation. I waive the right to inspect or approve of the forgoing uses of my name or likeness; waive any copyright ownership rights; and waive any right to compensation beyond my participation, if any, in the Walk of Fame Ceremony. I release the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce from any expectation of privacy rights with regard to images specified above. My permission is not assignable to others without my written permission and does NOT include any use of my name or likeness as described above in connection with any commercial or other product or service that expressly states, suggests, or implies my approval, endorsement, or sponsorship of any such product or service.
